Webb tractor excursions:

#1 was a MF 35 deluxe gas, ps, 900 hrs. Bought from a guy selling real estate who sold tractors as a hobby when things were slow. Had a lot and lots of web pics. Had 3 views of the tractor. Wanted $4200 for it. Thought if really 900 that was ok. Lots of times it's 900 + 1 trip around the hour meter (10,000). Told him I'd give him cash delivered at my house (for $100 transport fee) if as indicated. He brought it and it was. Done deal.

Neighbor wanted it so I sold it.

In the pics, I saw a 2000 Ford Diesel with 3200 hrs for $4250 sitting next to it. Called him back and said same deal. he said no, shipping is $200. I said ok as I couldn't drive 500 mi and come back for that (overnight stop over).

This tractor is my honey. Love it. Nothing done to it in 3 yrs now cept change fluids and rubber.

Wanted a 3000. Deal looked good but owner's friend was selling. Got cash and trailer and drove half day to buy. Not as advertised and guy didn't really want to sell it. Wondered why his friend was advertising it for him. Nice drive. Return trip was faster than expected as trailer was empty.

Last one was an overseas import from Holland. A 4600 Diesel, independent pto, remote valve, with 6000 hrs, fresh paint and good rubber. Had a ROPS and very nice factory metal canopy. Wanted $6250.

This is the one I talked about above. As it turned out, the reverse was true on this last tractor. The tractor is in superb shape, both mechanically and cosmetically. The engine is tight and starts instantly, telling me the internal condition is excellent. Tranny is tight and lift is smooth as silk, holding is excellent. PTO is smooth, brake locks right in. Examination revealed that there hasn't been a wrench on it. What a deal. I like this european version as it has as super hand operated brake lever (like a sports car) and makes it very easy in connecting to implements. Like I said, you never know. Additionally, even though this is a '79 model, it's obvious that it was shedded as the wheel and instruments show wear, but are not sun baked.
