I need some help trying to remove the hydraulic cooler on my backhoe. I can't get the hydraulic lines off the cooler and don't want to break anything. There seems to be two nuts on each hydraulic line where it enters the cooler. The one closer to the cooler is a narrow nut where the one farther away is much wider. Both use a 1 1/4" wrench. Should I try to hold the narrow nut while turning the wider nut or should both nuts turn at the same time? I tried turning the wider nut while holding the narrow one and it would not budge. I tried turning the wider nut but the narrow nut turned with it and it looked like the hydraulic pipe was going to bend so I stopped. At this point I could really use some advice. The machine is a Dynahoe 160 and the hydraulic cooler weeps quite a bit of hydraulic fluid.
