Man, I wish drugs were free up here.... Flu shots are, in addition to some other vaccines for common diseases which are administered by a doctor. However, prescription drugs are pay as you go or private insurance, and they aren't cheap. The only cheap drugs are from generic drug makers who are simply profiting after the patent has expired. All other aspects related to malpractice insurance, lawsuits, etc. etc. apply here, just that there are not as many of the Edwards type as yet. Medicare has it's pros and cons, but drugs are not covered outside a hospital. Now I hear on the news that some of you folks are crossing the border for a flu shot. That isn't being discouraged, but doctors are being told that they must maintain enough supply of vaccine for our needs first. Any extras, and they will have to try and source more vaccine. That might not be easy either. That was just on the news tonight. Take care. Rod
