The Idle down that is for when you are running a saw or drill off the Generator on a construction site. You need to keep the RPMs up so the voltage is correct for small draw things and any heavy loads put on it. It is a nice feature to save fuel while waiting to need power but not when hooked into a system that needs power all the time. Mark H.
