When you move the SR lever (that is the lever to make it move)) it does two things. One is moves the servo control and moves the spool on the drive control valve. The drive control valve has a spool the moves in and out when you go from forward to reverse. Some times the spool will not move and then as you go foward it slides out and boom it starts to move. Check for wear in the lever some times it will cut a grove in the SR lever and then it will not move the spool, not sure if you have a farmall or international so make sure you hood is tight.
