Not sure about fords have not run one. AC I use a wd about a 1952 to brush hog. We're talking brush and grass etc. from weed to 2" trees. I run her hard sometimes and she for the most part does very good. I run in 3 rd to cut 4 ft. grass but if very thick 2nd. . If your in 3rd and run into a thick spot you use the hand clutch ( trans.) to make live pto. No need to worry about that clutch it is in oil, can be played as much as needed. Put make sure it is in good working order if not you need to see why( e-mail me,if you go with wd and I'll explain) . MAKE SURE PTO IS IN GOOD SHAPE MAKE THE SELL STAND BEHINED IT 100% . They can be bad and not fun to work on prices gear box 100 and up pto shaft same and bearing about 25-100. I would say as long as tractor is in good shape enghine wise it is one of the best for cutting. Wd only has 35 to the 45's 45hp. I use a wood 5' brush hog some 35yrs old, cut about 50 - 100 acres a yr. for custom work. Teddy
