I buy and sell a good many tractors every year. I find this is a good time to sneak up on bargains BUYING them, as people are done with their summer chores. If you can buy cheap enough, and have storage, they will go up in value come springtime. Same goes for impliments. I don't even try to advertise tractors at this point of the year. Another waste of good money and time. As the price of oil/gas has gone through the roof, it seems to me that cheaper/older tractors (NOT collector grade) are falling in value. People that can afford newer, better tractors can withstand the high price of fuel a little better. Yesterday, I was talking with an auctioneer friend. He said that he was discouraging potential customers from holding farm sales untill March or later, because of the down market at this time. John
