My limited 2 cents worth... From my very limited experience with this torque limiter thing, it doesn't break free very easily. I have a slip clutch, as well as an over-running coupler on order. They both attach to the tractor end of the PTO shaft. The slip clutch has some degree of adjustability, whereas this torque limiter thing is not adjustable, and appears to be tight enough to only prevent catastrophic failure of the whole system. I think that if this thing broke free, you would be cleaning your underwear. A slip clutch might be more appropriate. There is a slip clutch on my 20 HP Wheelhorse, and have never broken anything yet. There are no shear pins on anything, be it mower, snowblower, rototiller, if something binds up, the clutch just slips. A slip-clutch costs about $95, whereas the "torque limiter" is only about 2/3 of that price, but we arn't taking thousands of dollars here.
