1.) There are 3 terminals on the junction block. 2 are for the ignition resistor, and the 3rd is a junction point for the battery and charging circuits. All are insulated from chassis ground.

2.) If you have a "round can" coil with 2 primary terminals, for your original positive ground application, the (+) will go to the distributor.

3.) The 2-wire ignition switch doesn't care which wire is power and which is "load" (which I think is a better term than "ground").
