HOWDYA DO IT? My guess is you have two batteries and you run them on 12V charging in parallel, and you move the cables to develop 24V....am I right?

Speaking of Isolators, I have this blue square unit that has a connection on each side for a cable, and it has several plates joined at the centers. There are no identifying marks, and it looks brand new.... Could this be the magic isolator I hear of?

Thanks for all the good ideas!My winch is only a 3000 lb unit, so I am hoping to use a smaller battery. After all the trailer is only a 6x16.
