I think they work, especially at fairly high speed. With the whistles, at least the deer seem to lift up their heads and look toward the oncoming car.

We have them on all our vehicles and have not hit a deer since I started putting them on (hit 3 before that). They only cost a little bit and install very easily. The only problems I have had is that my wife sometimes runs her car through one of those car washes with huge rotary brushes. Takes off the deer whistles every time...

I think they are worth it.
