HI Forum I would stay with the Non-Detergent oil . Case being not the clean engine trouble. But first was the tractor rebuild? If it was use what ever oil you wish to. Now , The guides in the heads on these older tractors were made for oil to go past them, if things are seated and you put deterent oil and clean them off , now she is going to smoke if she was not smoking before. About the rings and cyclinders I was always told same thing here. I would say the deterent oils would clean some of the build up out , But in ours tractor 2 H's and 5 AC's I will use Non-deterent , Most are 50 + years on the engines That old oil must be doing something ??? Change oil when you should and filters and she run for years. Teddy
