My mom's, mom's dad (my paqa) fought in WWI and WWII. He died over 5 yrs ago at 92. I never understood the stuff he did till i was older. Thanks. Also....what do the number mean in 'navy 73-93' or 'navy 74-80'? and what does 'D.A.V' stand for? I'm only 18. I hear stories about the war from my dad's dad. He told me stories about eating tulip bulbs. I really appreciate the Veterans. We (the generations after the Vets) cannot say 'thank you' enough.
