Not only looked like a Minneapolis in disguise, the MF 97 was made by Minneapolis, the same thing as a G 706. My Minney book says there were only 429 Massey Ferguson 97's built. Regarding Massey Fergusons, they are a legend at least with the small ones. My dad has owned a "30" (along with a 165) for about 50 years and it's still going strong- on light chores.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
