If you go into "production" your purchase quantity
will increase. This should get you some price breaks.
Also, shop around for a supplier. I used to work
as a one man machine shop and it took some time to
find a good source for material. Found a guy that
ran a supply house out of an office. He bought at
large quantity prices and passed the savings on.
The big steel companies don't want to mess with
small accounts. This guy forwarded my order to the
big boys and had it shipped to his company at my
address and he got billed and in turn billed me.
Ask around and you can save a bundle.
