Most people never read the wiring diagram and did not know a gas/all-fuel 50 used no ballast resisitor from the factory and a 3.0ohm 12V coil. The ballast resisitor and a 1.5 ohm 6V coil gets used on a 12V system with bypass starting. When cranking a temporary switch closes and applies full battery voltage to the coil thus bypassing the ballast. The idea is to still have a strong spark even when the electrical system voltage is dragged down while cranking. In a word, hurl the ballast and install a 3.0 ohm coil. It may even have a 12V/3.0 ohm coil already on there. Or update the mechanical starter switch to the one with the bypass switch. And wire in the bypass starting circuit.

Hydraulics - Cylinder Anatomy - by Curtis von Fange. Let’s make one more addition to our series on hydraulics. I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
