I've got a boom like the one you show in the picture. It's fairly easy to handle when hooking it up. I have lifted several loads above 2000 lbs with it. I mostly use my front end loader for the heavy stuff, but once in a while, I'll use that boom. It never flinched. A great deal of the reason for bending a boom has to do with how a load is "rigged". Also, I don't use a 3 point hitch boom to transport heavy loads. Just pick up and set down... I'm trying to locate the picture, so I can scan it, then post it. I have a picture of a 3 point lift that is used by a local barn builder to raise truss's on barn roofs. It has an adjustable boom that'll reach nearly 25'. Talk about something unsafe looking! He uses it on a Case Industrial tractor with wheel wieghts galore... Just a few thoughts....John
