I have a 3' gravel bucket that goes on my Wagner loader. The cutting edge was worn back to the bucket so I asked a local welding shop about putting on a new edge for me. I had a nice piece of old snow plow cutting edge from a town truck that I thought would be a good replacement, but the welder said it was hardened steel and wouldn't weld. Is that true? Anyway, I gave him the bucket. He had to use a carbon arc torch to remove the old welds. There were 8 1" plugs holding the edge to the bucket. I know you're into making that boom, so I thought you might be able to answer my question. Are those hardened cutting edges weldable or not? Just curious. Thanks.
