That's nothing. I went to mail some canned smoked salmon, three tins from the super market, from Canada to the US. The postal clerk said I needed a special export number for any store bought food items. I could get it off the web. However she said one of her other customers tried it, spent three hours on the web and never did get the number. The clerk told me to take it to UPS and they would ship it. Seems they have one number for all food items. This whole thing is because of "bio-terrorism", but you can ship home made items. Nothing more dangerous than my home made skunk chile!
