One of my sons is a diesel mechanic, via Alexandria Tech. His interest was tractors and trucks, and worked for the local Alex JD dealer. Army Reserve job was also in truck driving and maintenance. Currently works for another of their dealerships, after driving over the road and working in a truck company's shop. Ask yourself- who do you want to work for, with what equipment? Tractors, trucks, small equipment, contractors (heavy equipment). Pick your first choice and intern there. If not satisfied, go to the second. My son still drives occasionally for the trucking company for weekend money, always liked his boss, just got tired of working on trucks, and went back to tractors.
