Actually gravity holds the forks on somewhat. On the end of the pivet arm of the forks is flat iron (1/2 in) with a c or u shape and they set on the arm the graffle hooks pivet on. When the grafles are removed, the arms that hold them come down (with hydrolic pressure) to hold the forks in place. I'm not very good at discribing the set up. I'll take the photos come morning even if its tool cold to paint them.
