Without knowing the entire circumstance, perhaps I should keep my nose in my own business, but you seem intent on getting your point across in spite of the fact that your post has been wacked more than once, so it becomes obvious you are soliciting reaction. First of all, The person you refer to as being shady has been selling tractors here for as long as I have been comming to this site, and that is nearly 3 years. If he were the shister you claim him to be, I would imagine others would have spoken up with great frequency, but the fact is that you are the first one to my knowledge who has had a problem. In my opinion, this does not so much make him a crook as it makes you a disgruntled buyer. Without seeing the add, I will only guess that he did not represent the trqctor you bought as being in perfect condition, or that it ran good to great. Most folks would not send money for a used tractor and wait until it arrived to find out how well it ran. Any buyer with the expectations you have would have made the trip to look over the tractor before shelling out the money for the tractor in addition to shipping costs. Shipping costs are a separate issue and most of the time not under the control of the seller, but by the hauler. It would seem to me and I"m sure to others that it does not justify your negative comments by blaming stupidity on someone else. I do know that there are some fine tractors comming from Canada, but be that as it may, I would take the time to make the trip to inspect the merchandise, and I bet the seller would have been glad to allow you to do just that. Remember, the school of hard knocks still charges tuition.

Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
