jim: anyone buying 50 year old tractors, sight unseen, must be prepared to loose the money put out, just as a lesson in life. I find even when you look them over well, you will still find yourself spending unexpected money. One thing I find about tractors, you can't buy very far from home, cost of looking it over plus shipping, drive these tractors out of the market. My brother and two of his buddies drove from Nova Scotia to Nebraska to look at some Dodge cars. To me that trip was a looser before it got off the ground. However they could drive the cars home. While there he was offered a Farmall Super MD for $1,000. Looked like a good deal, until you look at cost of shipping. You might try wording you threads a bit different, Canada does not have a patent on SCOUNDRELS. I rather doubt that the per capita of these is much different across North America.
