Howdy folks, Got a little problem with the JD M now that it is running. On the hydraulics, the suction line to be exact, I have a leak. It is at the point where the line enters the valve housing. The line is fixed to the valve housing from the inside but has a nut/thread combo on it that slides freely up and down the pipe when loose and threads into the the valve housing at the point where the line enters. I'm getting a slow drip of oil around between the pipe and that combo. It isn't leaking at the threads so I can't get out the teflon tape to fix this one. I don't see a way to remove this line, I could find no way to when I had the whole assembly off the tractor replacing the seals and gaskets. I'm looking for ideas on how to stop this leak. I have the tractor totally repainted now and am in the final steps of finishing the restoration so this is not welcomed news. Is there a way to take care of this short of finding a way to remove and replace the line. I really don't want to have to do that. I'll let y'all grind the gears for a while. Mine are still smokin and need to cool for the night. I appreciate it. God bless. --old fashioned farmer

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
