I disagree- I think we are still trying to figure out who the "victim" is in this case. In case you missed the previous two (pulled) rants, we all know who the seller is, he has sold hundreds of tractors on this board, and had many defenders on the earlier posts. I'm thinking, by the timetable Jim mentioned, that the seller was trying to get him a good deal on shipping by getting the tractor on a partially loaded shipment for a discount (I once got a tractor hauled from Missouri to Washington for 500 bucks- it took 7 months, rather than 4, and I was thrilled with the whole deal.) About that time, the price of diesel nearly doubled, buyer was undoubtedly calling seller about daily by that time, and seller ended up shipping the tractor at a much higher price than he had anticipated. As Kyhayman said, head gaskets can go at anytime, so I wouldn't hold that against him. I continue to see seller's ads, they sound good, and one day I might make a road trip to Manitoba to see what he's got. Darned sure won't buy sight unseen, though, from him or anyone else.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
