You didn't say what make or model of tractor,but most diesel tractors have a drain plug in the bottom of the tank to check for watwr in the fuel.Open the drain until only fuel comes out.You are probably not talking about much water.6" of snow would only amount to about a half inch of water.Not really very much considering the size of the fuel tank opening.Most diesel fuel tanks also have a standpipe that draws the fuel out so I doubt you have enough water to even be picked up by the fuel pump.
