Steve: For the most part you are not getting great advice. Alcohol based additives are great and will turn the snow to water. However water in fuel only settles out after tractor has been parked for awhile. The time to drain any moisture away is each morning before tractor is disturbed. I am not familiar with that make but check for drains on filters as well as tank. I used to run 150 gal. tank on back of pickup for refueling tractors in field. Those tanks were always a problem as you got condensation but never heat like tractor tank creating evaporation. I always told my guys, fuel tractors after pickup has been parked for a few hours and always take tractor to the pickup. Ocasionally I would park pickup on hill so drain was low. Next morning I would drain off moisture. Water has to settle in fuel before you can drain it off. I rather doubt you have enough moisture in that tank to give immediate problems any how as long as you add the alcohol. People do tend to over react when fuel and other caps are left off, exhaust systems left uncovered, etc. I would almost guarentee if nothing above deflects a stream into opening, you will never get enough over night to cause any problem. Air currents over open hole like those I mentioned tend to deflect rain or snow.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
