My less than 5 year old torpedoe type heater quit working. I opened it up and found the ignitor wasn't functioning, should be a simple fix, just go to the farm store where I bought it and get the part I need and fix it. WRONG, farm store does not stock any parts, and didn't even seem willing to order. OK, I'll find it somewhere else, 2nd farm store, same brand of heater, nope they don't carry parts, and refuse to order. Make a third stop, They look it up in the John Day catalog, make a phone call, only to be told that part is obsolete. OK, now I'm starting to steam. Find a website for the distributor of the heater, after trying 4 times and waiting 15 minutes for the website to load each time, I gave up. One more choice, contacted Grainger, still don't know if I will have any luck, but at least they are trying. Oh, in case any of you are wondering, the heater in question is a Reddy-Heater brand. I strongly recommend NOT buying one of this brand.
