I do agree about them having to be tached up to produce the most power. Makes no sense to put them in a truck where you need lots of low end power to get motivated. But all the V-8 Cats we have and do have have never been touched in any which way and they all have at least 4000 hrs. With the exception of the first one in our TR95 that the previous owner neglected to check the oil and she spit a rod out of the block and one injection pump having a leaky seal in it. Of course 4000 hrs is hardly anything these days. We all have our own opinion! Not meaning to ruffle your feathers!
