Ray, my condolences to you and yours. I lost my father at the age of eleven, and that was a long time ago. Mom had to raise and become father to us five kids, and there was some lean times and selling everything to payoff bills, but for the most part we all pulled together and did what we had to do. Now it's my turn to make sure Mom never goes without. She was my father most of my life. I work in IL, but own the place here in Bristol, IN. that only get to touch on weekends, but she cooks my dinners when I get home and feeds and watches my lab (Lou) while I'm gone during the week, because she's Mom and it's my turn to repay her for things I can't. Later today, I take her out and teach her how to shoot a .410 - theres lots of cyotes, and lately some breakins, and I aint home during the week. At 70, she never touched a gun in her life, and it's the smallest one I've got, so she has to learn now. I hope it don't knock her over. Take care of your mother now Ray, she was your father's closest partner and probably hurts in ways unimaginable or untold. Sorry for your loss Ray, but pull the family together as your father taught you to - one of his best traits in the world, raising his son to be the man of the household, should the day come. Again, my condolences. Mark.
