One of our local radiator shops will clean & coat a gas tank for what I think is a reasonable price... although if you were to do it yourself, you might save a bit of money. I like the convenience of dropping the tank off & then picking it up a day or so later... problem solved. In the past, I bought a kit from Eastwood & coated a tank myself... kit was approx $50.00... tank must be cleaned & coated in ADEQUATE ventilation (outside) and, must be done when temps are above 50 - 60 degrees for about 3 days... When you consider all that, plus the handling & disposal of corrosive chemicals, I think I'm money (and time) ahead to let the rad shop have at it!!! HTH regards, D.L.
