As a rough guess, I would say that a new set would be in the 4-500 range if you are buying the Duo-Trac. They are a good snow and ice chain. You could also go for the Double Diamond or other forestry type chain which provide a full cover over the tire for protection and have spurs for traction. Downside is that they are quite expensive. Neither one is any good if you run the roads much. If it were me, I would go to the local industrial supply and buy new cross chain, side chain, and the necessary hooks and make up set of conventional chains. Then you don't have to worry about broken cross chains for a while. The other option that has been given by old is also quite good. You could likely make up a set for little or nothing, and if you don't use the tractor much, you'll probably not break many of the old cross chains. It's all a function of money and patience. I'm generally short on patience when it's -15C. Take care. Rod
