Picked up a small load of heating coal today (about 45 miles from home)for the first time, I've been using wood. Big mine there with all sorts and varieties (sizes) of stuff, I bought what they called "nugget" coal, it's about fist-sized chunks to use in my little cast iron stove in my small backyard shop when I'm working out there in the winter. They also sell "stoker" coal (which is like gravel) and also "kitchen" coal (which is big huge chunks). I paid $31 per ton Canadian (about $2.40 US). How does this price stack up for coal price compared to where you live?
