well since no one knows anything about belt driven variable speed pulleys i took it upon myself to adjust it without following the manual. now this is canada in january but since i have a heated cab i proceded to adjust the speed selector with the transmission cover off while i was snowblowing my neighbours driveway. it took sometime but through trial and error i got it adjusted and it seems to work better than it did when it was new. so to anyone with this type of drive here"s my advice. Don"t follow the instructions in the mtd manual. no thanks!
