The propane company probably had some rookie driving and he forgot to reset the meter. But if its hand written, it might be that he errored in writing a 5 instead of a 3 or a 4. Lets see 10% = 50 gallons, 80% fill = 20% not in tank or another 100 gallons so that is 150 gallons from 500 = app. 350 gallons delivered. Either way, just call up the company and tell them that you got 500.2 gallons delivered into a 500 gallon tank. If I remember right, the slip will have a reading percentage of tank at beginning of fill and should say what percentage it was at finish. plus the name of the driver. It also should say what the meter read at beginning and ended at too. Now call them and tell them there has been an error on their part and would appreciate it if they would reduce the price of your bill by a couple hundred gallons.;-) Then see what they say.
