Thanks for all the great ideas for a new shop. I am planning on building a pole barn and then pouring a concrete floor for the shop area. What should I look out for if using old power poles or pressure treated 4x4 and 6x6 posts. I came across a product for covering the inground part of the post or pole. Would this be an option for cutting my own posts from oak or pine. Also, what about contact between the wood and concrete. By the way, I'm in Alabama so would that make any difference as to construction. Thanks again for all the info.
