And then, along with info on tractors, and related items, there is also info on animal weather prognosticators, such as The Great Punxsutawney Phil, from Gobbler's Knob, Pennsylvania! Phil is a groundhog who, every February comes out of his burrow to give the latest info on the weather, so the farmers know when to plan spring plowing, etc. Now, if Phil sees his shadow, he runs back into his burrow, and we'll have 6 more weeks of winter! If he doesn't see his shadow, he stays out, and that means that spring is just around the corner! A lot of things hinge on Phil's predictions, and every year a great crowd comes to town, well fortified with rum and grog, and they cheer mightily when Phil emerges from his den! Then after Phil runs back inside to hide, everybody goes back to town to have some more grog, and they celebrate the rest of the day away! but, at least, the farmers know when to get the tractors out of the barns, and when to make sure they run o.k.! by: Rusty j. P.S. And now, Pa. has another groundhog, selling scratch-off tickets on the state lottery! He makes it onto tv most every day!

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
