Just to add to what the others have said. E-Bay uses the rating system to show what kind of a buyer or seller you are, whether or not you can be trusted, etc. Once you have an item listed for sale on e-bay, you can actually check the rating (feedback) of anyone who has entered a bid on your item. You then have the option of refusing that bid if you don't like what you find about the bidder. The vast majority of e-bayers are honest and reliable, but you do need to be watching for those who have no intention of paying, and some who are just playing games. I might also add that signing up for a pay-pal account, and accepting only pay-pal payments, will reduce some of the non-paying clowns. If you elect to accept other forms of payment, make absolutely certain that the check, money order, etc., has cleared the bank before you ship the item.
