I have been looking to buy a post 65 Ford 4000 and have been shopping around. Just for the heck of it I thought I would check out some MF 165s and Cases of similar HP. The MF and Cases ranged from the 3000s (Canadian) and the Fords were all above 6000. Good ones were closer to 10,000. My questions is, are they pretty much the same? Is the Ford, assuming condition is the same, better. Or are Fords just more expensive. The 8n being a great example. I am not a mechanic or a tractor collector. I am just trying to get a good old tractor to pull my hay baler One other quick question. I was looking at a 1967 case 730 4 cylinder gas for C$3900. The add says no top link. What does this mean. Also how much more expensive is gas vs diesel. Thanks for all your responses. I really enjoy this forum/Doug

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
