Thanks for everyone's help! It runs! last night I took the carb apart and took out the main jet, it was plugged! I guess I missed it! (idiot!), then I blew it out with an air compressor, put it together an it runs great I think! what packing material is RKS talking about? did I wreck something? On another note, there is no serial number on the steering gear, stolen tractor? it seems strange that I also bought a B JD from the same source with no number either? I am starting to wonder. The lady I bought it from had no idea, because her husband left 5 years ago. Is there anyway to find out the number or year?
