I found the name of the man who recorded the song about Sweet Alice Chalmers and the John Deere Tractor! It was recorded by Larry Sparks, of bluegrass music fame! Maybe this will help yer search. In the song, the fellow went to the big city to work, and met a girl named Alice Chalmers. Things went sour, and he wrote to mother, telling her how he missed the farm and his John Deere tractor, and of the big mistake he had made by leaving home! Send me an e-mail address or yer home address, and i'll send a copy of the words! It'll come from "ahamm---", via Outlook express! Or regular snail mail. I have the music,. but don't know which tape it is on, and i have 20 tapes to go thru, so thats out! by: Rustyj
