If your 830 is a Comfort King, the filter is a spin on type that is under the operators platform on the left side, the filter sticks straight out toward the rear tire. If it is not a Comfort King, look on the rear below the pto shaft, you are looking for a triangle shaped plate with 3 bolts in it. If it on the rear of the tractor, get ready to catch the oil in a pan when you loosen the bolts, don't take the bolts all the way out until the oil slows down or stops running out, this filter is what Case called an edge wound filter that can be cleaned & re-used.
