Bought mine in Feb '93; dually 2wd with 5 speed Getrag; many of the the Getrags failed early; knock on wood, mine's still going with absolutely no problems. Dealer replaced the clutch (under warranty) at 12,000 miles; also replaced a bunch more at about the same milage.......evidently a known problem with a 'batch' of clutches; other than that the power train hasn't been touched. It's showing 170,000 miles; speedometer has been broken for about 13 months; keep aiming to get it fixed. Pull a 32 ft cattle trailer and a 27 ft equipment trailer; still get about 19 mpg (empty, no trailer); never had it hooked to anything it wouldn't move; by far, the best truck I've ever owned. The rear fenders are fibreglass; been repaired a time or two; got one that's cracked now.
