Diesel in a small pleasure craft is fine now with the low sulphur fuel. In the past the smell of fuel drips, spills and exhaust just ruined the experience.
With four valve heads and the later improved valve and cam follower springs. A four valve N53 should make 20 to 30 HP per cylinder depending on injector size and rpms.
