Dale. The ID and photos of the various chassis is on page page 2,3 of your parts catalog PC862 for the model 40. Page 70-2 shows the double front row crop,70-3 the single front "rough rider". 70-8 the row crop wide adjustable square axle. 70-10 shows the rowcrop adjustable wide round tube. For reasons unknown the rollo-matic front is missing from PC862? I seen one at a show but perhapes it was grafted on from a 50 or something? The 38" fixed which could be found on the Waterloo 50,60 & 70 of that era doesn't seem to be listed. That Special which was half way between a tricycle and a highcrop was a model "V". The "W" was a Rowcrop Utility which was wide front only. There was no Industrial 40 per say but Dubuque Deeres were often optioned with Custom Job Numbers. Orange, yellow and even red paint was no problem. One could even split hairs with the 40 crawlers as there were 3,4 & 5 roller versions. The 420 was offered in a true industrial starting with the 1957 slant steer 420's based on the "W" chassis. In January 1958 they were discontinued and replaced by the 440 industrial.
