Thanks Dave. I don't have a planter yet-so having a friend plant with 16-row. Darn no-till planters are pretty expensive so I am probably 2 years away or more from getting one. The 4-row older combine will only be used in case of the big one being out of service so I will probably just look at a 6-row. Was looking at a splitter to do 15" row beans but with soybean rust issues may just reconsider and go ahead and get a 12-row 30". Will see what happens this year. The guy who does my planting ran a 16-row planter this year and a 12-row corn head-said it worked out ok.
