YOUR FUEL PUMP IS A SIMMS NOT A CAV! I HAD THE SAME SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY 384 AFTER FITTING NEW FUEL FILTERS DISSMANTELING AND CLEANING THE FUEL LIFT PUMP NOT THE MAIN FUEL PUMP! AND PUTTING FRESH ;[SUPER UNIVERSAL]; TRACTOR OIL IN THE ENGINE AND FUEL PUMP AND HOOKING IT UP TO A BIG MUCK SPREADER FOR A DAY THE PROBLEM DISSAPERED. I THINK THE REASON THAT THERE IS FUEL IN THE ENGINE OIL IS THAT THE LIFT PUMP SEAL IS LEAKING . AND THE MISSFIRE IS PROBABLY A BLOCKED INJECTOR OR WORN INJECTOR.
