Unless you are willing to gamble the entire purchase price plus shipping charges, on something like the flip of a coin, I suggest you don"t buy from anyone sight-unseen. If it"s worth buying, it"s worth going to look at before hand. The only way I"d consider buying or selling a major piece of equipment sight-unseen is by using a very detailed video recording of the equipment, and a detailed written contract. I"ve found too many people who either think: "good condition" means better than brand new or, it ran once 20 years ago before I parked it in the swamp.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
