We have govt run health care here in the US too, it's called the VA Medical Center. Nothing but death traps if you ask me. Not the kind of thing I would wish upon society at large. The reason insurance is so high in Texas is because of all the illegals flooding into the hospital emergency rooms for all their health care needs. By law, the hospitals have to treat them and give them prescriptions too. The cost of all those who don't pay gets added on to the bills of us few suckers who do pay and then we wonder why insurance is so high. The sad part is that the wetbacks who loot our private hospitals get better healthcare than the poor old vets get at the VA.
