MSB that is cheep we mail stuff all the time, here is how it works. I take the parcel to the post office, the lady weighs it then measures it, length, width and height puts all this in the computer then puts in the postal code (postal code tells it how far the parcel is going) the last parcel I mailed was 8” square and very light (box weighed more than what was in it). The cost for postage was $6.52 plus 7% GST = $6.98. We have been charging $7.00 shipping & handling because we don’t know for sure until we go to the post office. WE don’t care about handling charges, but how do we make change. A stamp costs 50c plus GST = 54c. All the customer sees is the $6.52 and thinks we ripped them off for 48c. What was in the parcel only cost $13.00. But that’s Canada and privatization. And more to come.
